I’ve wanted to do more public projects for awhile now, so I’ve decided to offer my services for murals. Most of the mural projects I’ve been involved in haven’t used many of my characters or style in the designs, so ideally I’d like to create works of art that reflect my artistic voice while considering the building owner’s ideas.
The criteria for Beautify Your Building:
- You are the owner of a building or public space (both non-profit spaces and businesses are eligible)
- The applicant is willing to supply the proper permits for painting.

The project is about fostering collaboration and community, so the murals for this ongoing project will be featured on Marlana’s Musings along with the physical address and website of the featured locations. The cost of the materials and labor will be funded via crowdsourcing platforms. Depending on the conditions of the project, it will either be through Kickstarter or Hatchfund. Building owners aren’t required to promote their projects, however promotion is a plus since the goal is to provide a mutual benefit for mural artwork and the chosen organizations. Overall, the buildings get artwork and exposure at no cost to the owners.
