J and I have one thing in common – we’re both workaholics. After the 9-5 grind my weekends are consumed by art, shows and related business tasks. It’s been this way for years and I’m not gonna lie, it’s an exhausting routine. However, we have a new tradition to ring in the weekend – before heading out to work, we have brunch together. It’s nice because it gives us a chance to reconnect and face our respective workdays in a positive light. I would’ve liked to get more, but this place is a hotspot in Oakland so it’s pretty crowded.
After brunch I felt ready to seize the day. Today’s tasks included working on the new site and related business tasks, as well as another art show project that I was invited to. More on that later. Here’s a snap from my Moleskine, it’s a sketch of one of the pieces that may be included:
More on that one later ;).
